TruMerit™ is a worldwide leader in health care workforce development and a longtime ICN partner. Formerly CGFNS International, we have a nearly 50-year history supporting the career mobility of nurses—and those who license and hire them—by validating their education, skills, and experience as they seek authorization to practice in the United States and other countries. As TruMerit, our mission has expanded to focus on building workforce capacity to meet the needs of people and health systems in a rapidly evolving global landscape. Through our Global Health Workforce Development Institute, we are advancing evidence-based research, thought leadership, and advocacy in support of health care workforce development solutions, including globally recognized practice standards and certifications that will enhance career pathways for nurses and other health care workers.
To that end, we are proud to partner with ICN in launching the Global Nursing Workforce Centre. With the combined guidance and input from both our organizations, and focusing on the contributions of the nursing profession to global health care workforce preparedness, the Centre is advancing a comprehensive, action-oriented research agenda spanning nursing education, workforce conditions, care delivery models, and health system impact worldwide. Learn more about the Centre at our co-hosted symposium at ICN 2025 on 11 June 2025, from 13:30–14:30, and come see us at our booth in the exhibition area!
